INEXPENSIVE PERFORMANCE
The DECANTER quiescently settles high-density solids to retain all grit and abrasives. A wedgewire dewatering screen allows free water to drain out without releasing captured grit.
The DECANTER is portable, mounted on four polyurethane casters suitable for movement on a smooth, hard floor. DECANTERs can also be mounted on a roadworthy, dual-axle, licensable trailer with ball-type hitch for easy towing to a disposal site.
When a DECANTER is used in conjunction with a TEACUP™ or SLURRYCUP™ solids classifier, the grit underflow and classified abrasives requires no further washing before dewatering. This underflow can be pumped or flow by gravity to the DECANTER for clarification and dewatering. Degritted overflow from the DECANTER can be returned to the plant headworks. Dewatered solids are typically 60% total solids. The DECANTER is designed for plants where grit loads are less than 2 cubic yards per day.
The DECANTER comes in four basic configurations to match local disposal trucks or equipment configurations: front-loading, rear-loading, trailer-mounted, and self-dumping.
